Welcome to Read4G ("Read4G", "we", "us", or "our"). Read4G is operated by Lucrecia Karina Abasto, a sole proprietor (Einzelunternehmen) registered in Germany. Contact details and address are provided in the Impressum.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Read4G web application, the Read4G mobile application(s), and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing the Service, or initiating a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Read4G is a language learning service providing tools for practicing German. The Service is available as a web application (read4g.com) and as one or more mobile applications. Certain features ("Premium Features") require an active paid subscription, as described in Section 4 (Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation).
Certain features of the Service use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate or translate texts, content, or other materials. AI-generated content is produced automatically and may not be reviewed before being shown to you.
The Service does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, reliability, linguistic accuracy, or pedagogical suitability of content provided through the Service. The Service does not provide accredited or certified language instruction and does not guarantee examination success or specific learning outcomes.
Users are solely responsible for independently verifying content provided through the Service before relying on it for academic, professional, or official purposes. Users are also responsible for ensuring that their use of any content from the Service complies with any academic, institutional, or professional rules applicable to them. Read4G assumes no responsibility for how content obtained through the Service is used.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required to validly consent to digital services under the laws of your country of residence, whichever is higher.
If you are below the applicable age, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Access to the Service may require authentication through a third-party provider or through an account created with us. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe that:
Premium Features are made available through paid subscriptions. The following terms apply to all paid subscriptions, regardless of platform. Platform-specific terms (for example, for purchases made through the Apple App Store) are set out in the Annexes to these Terms.
Subscription Plans
Read4G offers monthly and annual subscription plans. The specific features included with a subscription ("Premium Features") are identified within the Service at the time of purchase. Read4G reserves the right to add, remove, or modify Premium Features over time, provided that material reductions in benefits affecting active subscribers are communicated with reasonable advance notice in accordance with Section 11.
Subscriptions are currently sold exclusively through the Apple App Store. An active subscription grants access to Premium Features across all surfaces of the Service (web and mobile) when you are signed in with the same account.
Pricing
The current price of each subscription plan is displayed in the application at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and may be updated from time to time. Any price change affecting an existing subscription will be communicated in advance in accordance with applicable law and the policies of the platform through which the subscription was purchased.
Auto-Renewal
All paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each subscription period for an additional period of the same duration, at the then-current price, unless cancellation is initiated through your account on the applicable app store before the renewal occurs. The exact timing and mechanism of cancellation are governed by the platform through which the subscription was purchased; see the relevant Annex for details.
Introductory Offers and Free Trials
Read4G may from time to time offer introductory pricing, free trials, or promotional offers. The terms of any such offer (duration, eligibility, and price after the offer ends) will be displayed in the application at the time of purchase. If a free trial is provided, any unused portion is forfeited if you initiate a paid subscription before the trial ends.
Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time through your account on the applicable app store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid subscription period; you retain access to Premium Features for the remainder of that period. Read4G does not process cancellations directly for subscriptions purchased through an app store.
Refunds
Refunds and billing disputes for subscriptions purchased through an app store are handled exclusively by the operator of that app store in accordance with its policies. Read4G is not responsible for processing such refunds and has no authority to issue refunds for subscriptions billed by a third-party platform.
Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen (14) days of purchase, without giving any reason. By initiating access to Premium Features immediately upon purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that this consent results in the loss of your right of withdrawal once full performance has begun. This consent is obtained at the time of purchase through the relevant app store's confirmation flow.
You may submit answers, text, or other content while using the Service ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant Read4G a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, analyze, and display such content solely for the purpose of:
User Content is limited to responses entered into exercises. You agree not to submit unlawful, infringing, abusive, harmful, or technically disruptive content.
You remain responsible for the content you submit.

All software, design, branding, user interface, and functionality of Read4G are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Platform content
The Service generates and presents educational content including, but not limited to, reading texts, comprehension questions, writing prompts, grammar exercises, vocabulary items, and flashcard data (collectively, "Platform Content"). This content is produced using proprietary prompt systems, templates, and workflows developed by Read4G.
Although individual AI-generated outputs may not qualify for copyright protection in all jurisdictions, the selection, arrangement, curation, and presentation of Platform Content as a whole constitutes a protected compilation. All rights in Platform Content are reserved by Read4G to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Permitted use
You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Platform Content solely for your own private language learning purposes. This licence does not permit you to:

Some Platform Content within the Service is produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence; other Platform Content is authored and curated directly by Read4G. All Platform Content is provided for language learning purposes only and does not represent the views, opinions, or endorsements of Read4G. Read4G retains all rights in the Service and its compilations.
Third-party platform terms
Use of the Read4G mobile application(s) downloaded from the Apple App Store is additionally governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, to the extent applicable.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Mandatory statutory warranties owed to consumers under applicable law remain unaffected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
You may stop using the Service at any time. For paid subscriptions, termination takes effect at the end of the current paid subscription period; cancellation procedures are set out in Section 4.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if these Terms are materially violated or if continued operation becomes impractical. Where termination affects an active paid subscription without good cause attributable to you, we will refund any prepaid amounts covering the period after termination, processed via the platform through which the subscription was purchased.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Non-material changes (such as typographical corrections, restructuring, or clarifications) take effect upon publication.
Material changes affecting active paid subscribers will be communicated at least thirty (30) days in advance via the email address associated with the account or via prominent notice within the Service. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect; continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of law provisions and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store, Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply to the purchase transaction.
You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Read4G, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the Read4G mobile application(s) or the content thereof. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the Read4G mobile application(s).
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple shall have the right (and shall be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

The following terms apply to subscriptions to the Read4G mobile application purchased through the Apple App Store. In case of conflict with the main body of these Terms, this Annex prevails for iOS subscriptions.
